It is with great pleasure that I extend this reference for Mr. Raul Chiriboga whom I have known for more than twenty years since I was part of the United Nations Expert Group organizing the Fourth World Conference on Women that was held in Beijing, China.

 

Mr. Chiriboga is a highly intelligent, hard working and completely committed professional and a true artist. I first met him when he won second place for his artistic design for the official poster of the conference running against one thousand proposals.   His design was so beautifully conceived that it was chosen instead for being the cover of the CEDAW Book explaining the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women in an easy language.

 

Since then, Mr. Chiriboga has collaborated with different international experts for the design of cover books, logos and more recently for his interpretation for children of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, creating different characters that were received splendidly  in several countries of Latin America.

 

Raul Chiriboga  is a person of the highest integrity who is widely respected by those who have had the pleasure of working with him. He has repeatedly demonstrated his capacity for hard work together with the ability to approach problems imaginatively and thereby find solutions which others may not see. His sense of humor and friendly and engaging personality mean that he is widely liked by his colleagues – at the same time as being very well respected as he has the capacity to produce tangible results. He is a true artist, sensitive, creative, imaginative but above all, capable of interpreting and capturing, as only an artist can do, the aspirations, desires and hopes of those who - as myself- work for achieving  Peace in the world.

 

Mr. Chiriboga has worked professionally in a wide variety of settings – at both the national and international levels and has always acquitted himself with distinction.
